10月8日は、語呂合わせで「尺八の日」。益々世界に広まっているSh∂kuhachiの魅力と可能性を更に追求しよう と“世界尺八デイ” (WSD)と定められました。この日に、世界の尺八愛好者が統-したテーマの下に、流派、国籍、年齢、経験、プロ・アマ等を超え、尺八基本行である□吹きの108回実践をしています。
昨年は、その日を記念して12時間の「オンライン尺八世界大会」を開催しましたところ、世界25カ国70組の皆 さんが集い、リレー演奏形式で交流できました。今年は海外の皆さんも参加しやすいように24時間!に挑戦するこ とになりました。どなたでも参加できます(無料、通訳付き)。今回は邦楽」社の協力を得て、同誌で過去に紹介を
れた「世界の尺八」 100名の皆様 も招待することになりました。

October 8 is World Shakuhachi Day. The day of a year where we celebrate our love for the shakuhachi. Shakuhachi enthusiasts from all over the world, regardless of style, nationality, age, experience, professional or amateur will gather on this day to play together. We will start the day with 108 robuki.
The last two years, we held a 12-hour ‘Online Shakuhachi World Gathering’, where 70 players from 25 countries played for each other. This year, we have decided to do 24 hours online gathering in order to make it easier for people from across the globe to participate!
There will be 10-minute slots available for players (ensembles are of course welcome) if you want to participate and play. The slots are available from 11:00 Japan Standard Time (JST) on October 8 till 9:30 JST on October 9. Please contact us if you want to participate and tell us your preferred time slot and title of the piece. Everyone can participate and listen.
